• When can I apply for WorkReady 2012?

• The WorkReady application will be available in April 2012. If you would like to receive a reminder e-mail when the online application becomes available check out Request a Reminder.

• When do WorkReady summer programs start? When do they end?

• If you are placed in a summer experience, the program begins in early July and will run for six weeks until mid-August.

• Am I eligible for WorkReady Summer 2012 programs?

• The WorkReady Summer program is available to youth between the ages of 14 and 21. Youth must be at least 14, but not older than 21 on the first day of the WorkReady program. Currently, to qualify, you must be a Philadelphia resident, within the age limits listed above, eligible to work in the U.S. and the annual income of your household cannot exceed the amounts listed below:

• How do I apply?

• You can complete the application online when it is available in April 2012.

• If I filled out an application last year, do I need to fill out another one this year too?

• Yes. All youth interested in participating in WorkReady programs must complete a new application each year. We try to minimize the number of forms and make applying as easy as possible. However, funding guidelines and legal requirements mean that you need to apply each year.

• I have completed my application; does this mean I will get a job?

• Not necessarily. We work year-round to find funding and opportunities for as many young people as possible. However, due to a limited number of available positions and funding restrictions, placement is not guaranteed.

• I completed an application last year, but I was not placed in the program; will I be placed this summer?

• You are encouraged to apply again this year. However, due to the large demand for summer jobs, placement in a summer experience is not guaranteed.
