What is the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN)?
It’s hard to boil down what PYN does into just a few sentences. So here are a few things you should know about us…
We are dedicated to making sure that every young person in Philadelphia who wants an internship or summer job can get one.
We want all students to feel that education is relevant to their lives.
We believe that if you’ve dropped out of school, it shouldn’t be so hard to find your way back to a program that works for you.
A lot of the work we do to make these things happen is behind the scenes stuff… and, to be honest, it’s probably too boring to explain here. To put it in basic terms, we make connections so that youth can have the kinds of experiences and the support they need to succeed. If you are interested in behind the scenes work, you should check out our PYN Ambassador program.
That’s it.
So what is MyPYN?
MyPYN is your personal space at the Philadelphia Youth Network. Feel free to surf around. You’ll find videos that explain what we do, pages that tell you how to sign up for programs and areas that let you interact and learn.
So make yourself at home and please, please, please, give us
feedback!
